1Accepting these terms
By installing or using Chameleon AI, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. Chameleon AI is provided by Houcine Bousfiha (“we”, “us”).
2What Chameleon AI is
Chameleon AI helps you record incidents, keep evidence secure, receive an AI-generated description of your evidence and get general guidance on possible next steps, based on official sources where available. It also shows emergency numbers and nearby places that may help.
3What Chameleon AI is not
- Not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number first.
- Not legal advice. Guidance is general information and does not replace a lawyer or any professional advice.
- Not a judge. Reports describe what the evidence appears to show. They don’t decide who is at fault.
- Not an official channel. Nothing is ever submitted to the police, courts, insurers or any authority on your behalf.
4Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age required in your country, to use Chameleon AI. You need an account to request analyses. You’re responsible for keeping your account and your device secure, and for your recovery passphrase: we can’t recover it or your encrypted evidence for you.
5Your content
You keep all rights to the evidence, descriptions and answers you add (“your content”). You give us a limited permission to store, process and transmit your content only to provide the service to you, including sending it to our AI provider when you ask for an analysis. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for your content. Record lawfully, respect other people’s privacy and image rights, and follow the rules that apply where you are.
6Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app to harass, threaten, defame or spy on anyone, or to record people unlawfully;
- upload content that is illegal, or that sexualises minors;
- create false evidence or use reports or documents to mislead an authority, an insurer or anyone else;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or bypass the security or limits of the service;
- use the service to build a competing product or to collect data about other users.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
7AI output and official information
Reports, plans and documents are generated by AI and may be incomplete or wrong. Review everything before you rely on it or share it. Official information is checked against its source when possible and labelled with its status; procedures, deadlines and contact details can change, so confirm them with the office concerned. If you see wrong, harmful or offensive output, please report it from the app.
8Third-party services
Nearby places, maps, directions and travel times come from third-party providers and may be inaccurate or out of date. Opening hours are not guaranteed. Sign-in with Apple or Google, app stores and other third-party services are governed by their own terms.
9Paid features
Some features may become paid in the future. If so, prices and conditions will be shown in the app before you buy, and purchases will be handled by the App Store or Google Play under their terms.
10Our intellectual property
The app, the website, the Chameleon AI name and logo, and their design and code belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may freely use the documents generated for your own incidents.
11Availability and changes
We work to keep Chameleon AI available and secure, but we can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Recording and emergency numbers are designed to work offline. We may change, suspend or end features, and we’ll give reasonable notice of important changes when we can.
12Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Chameleon AI is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on AI output, official information, nearby places or documents generated by the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
13Ending your use
You can stop using Chameleon AI and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. The sections on your content, intellectual property and liability survive.
14Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory rules of the country where you live. We’ll try to resolve any disagreement with you amicably first: please contact us.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date of the latest version is shown at the top. If a change is important, we’ll tell you in the app before it applies. Continuing to use Chameleon AI after that means you accept the new terms.
